During the past week, heavy rains and floods have hit the region of Emilia-Romagna in northern Italy. The floods have claimed several lives and extensive damage on roads, buildings and infrastructure. 10,000s have been forced to leave their homes.
Wall&decò's office and production facility is located in Cervia, right in the heart of the flood-affected area. Almost all staff also live in the area.The flooding has not resulted in any damage to office or production, but last week Wall&decò had to shut down operations for three days as the surrounding roads were completely flooded and no deliveries either out or in could take place. The business is now back in full production.
A very extensive restoration work is now underway. For the region as a whole, the financial consequences are expected to be enormous. Both Wall&decò and Embellence Group will provide financial support to the funds that are now being established.
